From the ramifications of COVID-19 to decades long fight for racial equity to economic uncertainty to rights being stripped away by an unjust Supreme Court, Black North Carolinians continue to face uncertain times that give us pause but we know that we are strengthened in our resolve to continue our vital work so that the NAACP and people of color remain strong and resilient as ever.
This year’s convention will allow attendees to engage in serious conversations on our civil rights via plenary sessions and training workshops. Under our theme of “Fighting Forward”, our 80th convention will focus on improving the lives of Black North Carolinians in voting rights, education, healthcare, criminal justice, and economic development.
